Intercom is a customer communications platform that offers a convenient live chat widget for users to implement on their site.
In order to integrate Intercom as a live chat contact provider you need to provide an
App ID. Please note that Intercom sometimes calls
App ID also
workspace ID. They are both the same.
Locating the App ID
- First, log into your Intercom account
- Once logged in, the easiest way to find your
App IDis to check the URL of any page you have open in Intercom. It's the code that comes after apps/ in the URL. So for this example workspace, if we check the URL we can see that the workspace ID is
gkeb4bs. Copy this value to your clipboard.
- In the HelpKit dashboard go to
- Select Intercom
- Enter the code in the
App IDfield and hit save
- Tada! 🎉
