Want to analyze or archive the conversations your users have had with your HelpKit AI chatbot? You can easily export the full chat history as a CSV file from your dashboard.
✅ Who Can Export?
Only users with Admin or Editor roles can access the export option.
📝 How to Export Chat History
- Go to your HelpKit Dashboard – Log into your HelpKit account and open the project you want to export from.
- Open the Insights Tab – In the left sidebar, click on Insights.
- Select “HelpKit AI Chat” – Inside Insights, switch to the HelpKit AI Chat tab.
- Click the Three-Dot Menu – On the right side of the chat history table, click the ⋯ (three-dot) dropdown button.
- Choose “Export Chat History [CSV]” – Click the button — your download should start automatically.

🌍 Multi-language / Multi-version Projects
The exported CSV will only include data for the currently selected language/version of your help center. If you support multiple versions or languages, repeat the export process for each one individually.

Need to analyze chat trends or feedback across all versions? Combine the exported CSVs in a spreadsheet tool like Excel or Google Sheets for easy comparison.
