How to export HelpKit AI chat history as CSV

Learn how to export your HelpKit AI chat history as a CSV file

Want to analyze or archive the conversations your users have had with your HelpKit AI chatbot? You can easily export the full chat history as a CSV file from your dashboard.

 

✅ Who Can Export?

Only users with Admin or Editor roles can access the export option.

 

📝 How to Export Chat History

  1. Go to your HelpKit Dashboard – Log into your HelpKit account and open the project you want to export from.
  1. Open the Insights Tab – In the left sidebar, click on Insights.
  1. Select “HelpKit AI Chat” – Inside Insights, switch to the HelpKit AI Chat tab.
  1. Click the Three-Dot Menu – On the right side of the chat history table, click the ⋯ (three-dot) dropdown button.
  1. Choose “Export Chat History [CSV]” – Click the button — your download should start automatically.

🌍 Multi-language / Multi-version Projects

The exported CSV will only include data for the currently selected language/version of your help center. If you support multiple versions or languages, repeat the export process for each one individually.

💡 Tip

Need to analyze chat trends or feedback across all versions? Combine the exported CSVs in a spreadsheet tool like Excel or Google Sheets for easy comparison.
